Grilled Albacore Tuna Steaks with Sweet and Sour Bianco Mangoes

Recipe Name: Grilled Albacore Tuna Steaks with Sweet and Sour Bianco Mangoes.

These sweet Albocore Tuna steaks will be even sweeter once you pair them with mango's and Martini Bianco! These are great for the grill! Grab the Good Life!


4 ripe mangoes
¼ cup Martini Bianco
¼ cup + 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar*
2 medium red onions, 1 cut into a medium dice – one sliced very thinly
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
4 6oz Albacore tuna steaks, each about 1 inch thick
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil*
Salt and pepper to taste*

Cut 3 of the mangoes into a large dice and set aside in a medium bowl. Place the flesh of the remaining mango in a blender with the Martini Bianco and ¼ cup of the white wine vinegar. Puree until smooth and season with salt and pepper. Toss this vinaigrette with the diced mangoes, half of the basil and the diced red onion. Preheat grill. Coat the tuna steaks with 2 tablespoons of the olive oil and season well with salt and pepper. Grill the tuna to desired doneness, about 1 ½ minutes per side for mid-rare. Meanwhile, toss the sliced red onion with remaining 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar, remaining tablespoon olive oil and remaining half of basil. Season with salt and pepper. Serve tuna on top of a bed of the sweet and sour mangoes and pile red onion salad on top of each portion of tuna.
