Fresh Pico de Gallo Salad with Avocado

¼ cup fresh lime juice
¼ cup olive oil*
2 large heads boston bibb lettuce, shredded
2/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
10 oz store bought fresh pico de gallo or salsa
salt and pepper to taste*
2 large ripe avocados

In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice and the olive oil. In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, cilantro and pico de gallo. Season with salt and pepper, and toss with the dressing. Cut avocados in half and remove the pits. With a large spoon, scoop out the flesh of each avocado half, keeping the avocado as intact as possible. Cut the avocado halves into ¼ inch slices and season the avocado with salt. Add avocado slices to the salad and gently toss, being very careful to keep the slices intact. Serve right away.
