Broiled Flatiron Steaks with PepperJack Scalloped Potatoes
Estimated Cost: $18.86
4 6 - 7 oz pieces flatiron steaks, choose ones that are less than 1 inch thick
salt and pepper to taste*
24 oz package Fresh from the Start Scallop Cut Potatoes, or other thinly sliced cooked potatoes of choice
1/2 cup heavy cream
8 oz pepperjack cheese, grated
1/2 cup A1 Steak Sauce
Preheat broiler. Lay out potatoes in a 13x17 inch dish. Drizzle cream over potatoes and season well with salt and pepper. Scatter cheese evenly on top of potatoes. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Meanwhile season steaks well with salt and pepper and place on broiling rack. Broil for 2 1/2 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Remove form oven and allow to rest for a few minutes. Place potato dish under broiler for one minute or until cheese is golden brown and bubbling. Serve potatoes and steak with A1 sauce.
